Residence Abroad, Social Networks and Second Language Learning conference: 10th – 12th April 2013

The University’s Centre for Applied Language Research will be hosting its ‘Residence Abroad, Social Networks and Second Language Learning’ conference from 10th – 12th April 2013 at the University of Southampton.

Run in collaboration with the University Council for Modern Languages, the AILA Research Network on ‘Study Abroad and Language Acquisition’, and the Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies, the conference is intended for researchers on language learning/multilingualism, programme administrators, and educational professionals interested in residence/study abroad and interactions between social processes and language development.

The conference programme is now available to download on the conference website, as are details of the pre-conference workshops. Delegates can register for the conference on the LLAS website.
