Modern Language students: check out the Academic Skills Hub

LibGuides@SouthamptonModern Language students and other users of the University of Southampton Library may wish to check out the Academic Skills Hub. It’s currently a pilot version but includes an increasing range of useful academic skill resources and a chat box linking you to a live librarian who is available to answer your questions online. More resources are still being added and the developers would welcome your feedback through the the Academic Skills Feedback Form.

Free online course – Dyslexia and language teaching

A new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) entitled Dyslexia and language teaching will be running from 20th April – 17th May 2015. The course is being offered by Lancaster University through FutureLearn.

Pérez de Ayala Lecture 2015: ‘A Latin American Country: The United States’

Humanities at the University of Southampton is delighted to welcome Felipe Fernández-Armesto, writer and British historian, who will be delivering the Pérez de Ayala Lecture 2015 on Monday 2 March 2015, at 6:15pm at the University’s Avenue Campus. The lecture is entitled ‘A Latin American Country: The United States’ and will be chaired by Professor Clare Mar-Molinero, Associate Dean (Internationalisation) and Professor of Spanish.
