Modern Languages launches new eLearning Group

eLearning Group

Modern Languages at Southampton has recently launched an eLearning Group, consisting of staff members from across the department with an interest in eLearning and blended learning. The group aims to enable it members to meet on a regular basis, explore how colleagues are making use of online tools in their day-to-day teaching and share best practice in this area. The group has a blog, which presents examples of pedagogic research into blended learning from across the department. The blog already features an account of using Twitter with Italian beginners to develop cultural awareness and communicative language skills, and a recent study exploring the role of international students as agents of change on the online course ‘Get Ready for Southampton’, coordinated by the eLanguages team.

Keep an eye on the group blog, and the Languages at Southampton blog, for further updates on Modern Languages eLearning Group activities!
