Routes into Languages employability webinar: “Languages for business”


The next Routes into Languages webinar on “Languages for business” will take place on Friday 15th January 2016 at 12pm. The webinar will be live streamed and participants will be able to submit questions to a panel of experts. The discussions can be followed on Twitter at #RoutesLive.

Get Ready for Languages

Potential future Modern Languages students are participating in a visit day today at the Avenue Campus to meet Modern Languages staff and students, and find out more about Modern Languages study at Southampton.

Our visitors may be interested to take a look at Get Ready for Languages, an online resource which aims to guide you to useful information about life as a Modern Languages student at Southampton. You can read about staff in the Modern Languages department, discover what sorts of things Modern Languages students past and present are getting up to, and explore some of the modules you might decide to do. All this and more!

British Council urges people to learn a new language in 2016

The BBC has reported on a new campaign launched by the British Council to encourage people in the UK to make learning a new language a resolution for 2016. According to the British Council, learning “just a phrase a day” could make a significant difference to people’s language skills.
