New MOOC on ‘Dyslexia and Foreign Language Teaching’ starts today

Lancaster University is launching a MOOC on ‘Dyslexia and Foreign Language Teaching’ starting today, Monday 18th April 2016. This free course is designed for current and trainee teachers of additional languages, and offers a combination of practical tools and theoretical insights to support teachers to meet the needs of students with dyslexia.

New MOOC on ‘Dyslexia and language teaching’ to be launched

Lancaster University is launching a new four-week MOOC on ‘Dyslexia and language teaching’, which will run from 20 April – 17 May 2015. Aimed at English language teachers, teachers of modern languages, teacher trainers, educators and trainee teachers, the course will enable its participants to reflect on how they can cater for the needs of students with dyslexia in the foreign/second language classroom. Participants will also explore a number of techniques, including new computer-assisted tools, which can be used to support students in the classroom.

Free online course – Dyslexia and language teaching

A new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) entitled Dyslexia and language teaching will be running from 20th April – 17th May 2015. The course is being offered by Lancaster University through FutureLearn.

CLLEAR seminar: “The language learning processes of students with dyslexia”

The next Centre for Linguistics, Language Education and Acquisition Research (CLLEAR) seminar will take place on Wednesday 26 November 2014 from 5:00-7:00pm in Lecture Theatre C, Avenue Campus.
