Don’t forget to register for your place at the LLAS/UCML/AULC ‘Languages in Higher Education’ conference, on the theme of ‘Frameworks for Collaboration and Multilingualism’, before the registration deadline of Thursday 30th June 2016!

The conference will take place at the University of Warwick on 6-7 July 2016, and aims to bring together language practitioners from Secondary, Higher and Further Education to celebrate language collaborations and innovations across the sector.

UCML publishes 2014 GCSE modern languages summary and trend analysis

The University Council of Modern Languages (UCML) has published a summary of GCSE languages take-up for 2014, including an analysis of GCSE languages trends between 2002 and 2014.

UCAS application statistics for 2013: languages still in decline

UCAS has published the applications statistics for the 2013 round showing an increase on last year overall. However there is a continued (though slightly reduced) decrease in applications for languages. read more at http://www.ucml.ac.uk/news/163
