There are hundreds of reasons to learn a language at Southampton – what are yours?

Here are the choices for learning a language at Southampton:

Within your degree – Centre for Language Study

• beginners to advanced
• 1- or 2-semester modules
• language minors available

Alongside your degree – Language Opportunity

• beginners to intermediate
• up to 20 hours of free language study
• weekly classes or one-week intensive course

Self-access – Library and Learning Commons

• language advisory service (face-to-face and Skype)
• language-learning resources at Avenue Campus
• online language learning

Get Ready for Southampton continues to grow!

Get Ready for Southampton

Now over 1700 students from over 110 countries have used Get Ready for Southampton so far this year. The course is aimed at international students who are considering coming to study a degree at the University of Southampton or who have already applied. The course will be open until early October so there’s still time to join and meet your potential classmates!

A-Level results for new Southampton Modern Languages students

Congratulations to all students who received their A-Level results today and now have confirmed places to join us in Modern Languages here at Southampton from September.
